About

Morning sketching, Anglesey
I live in a small village in North Wales surrounded by beautiful wild countryside.
I am inspired by the rustic beauty of old farm buildings and wild meadows.

My interest in art started from a young age and I think this probably came from watching the excellent drawing skills by my father who would sketch and paint portraits of our family.

My first love is watercolour but also enjoy using acrylics and inks; I like to paint in a free, loose style and generally choose to paint rural scenes. I enjoy trying to capture the rustic feel of old buildings and surroundings.
I am very much inspired by the beautiful wild Welsh countryside which I hope is reflected in my paintings.

Myself and four other artists friends have taken part in the Art Trails. last year (2022) we were involved in the Clwydian Art Trail.
We are collectively known as the 'Halkyn Mountain Artists'

I have been a member of 'Holywell Art Club' for over twenty eight years.
I am also a member of the 'Clwydian Art Society'
